What we do
Tell us about a repair your landlord hasn’t fixed, and, with your permission, we introduce you to a law firm on our panel. The law firm writes to your landlord, asks for the work to be done, and claims compensation for you if you’re eligible.
If you haven’t reported the repair yet, we show you how, using your landlord’s own repair numbers and online services.
Who we are
Report Repair is a trading name of Claim Simple Ltd, a claims management company authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 830182). We’re registered in England and Wales, company no. 11459714, and with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ZA449298). You can check our authorisation on the FCA register.
Independent of every landlord
We’re not part of any council or housing association, and we don’t work for them. We never use a landlord’s logo or branding. The landlord information on our site comes from each landlord’s own website, the Regulator of Social Housing and the Housing Ombudsman, and shows where it came from and when we checked it.
How we check landlord information
Each landlord page is built from facts we’ve checked, and every fact shows its source and the date we checked it. Our landlord guides are written and checked by Ben Miller, a housing disrepair specialist at Claim Simple Ltd.
- Repair numbers, online reporting, timescales and complaint stages come from the landlord’s own website.
- Regulator grades come from the Regulator of Social Housing’s regulatory judgements.
- Tenant satisfaction comes from the regulator’s tenant satisfaction measures for 2024/25.
- Ombudsman figures and decisions come from the Housing Ombudsman’s landlord performance data for 2024/25 and its published decisions.
A landlord only gets a page once we have a checked repair number and enough sourced information to make the page useful. Where sources disagree, we use the landlord’s main repairs or contact page. If something is out of date, please tell us.
How we’re paid
Checking your claim is free. We may receive a payment from RFLCS Ltd (Home Disrepair Claims) for introducing your claim. It doesn’t come from you. If your claim succeeds, the law firm’s fee comes out of your compensation: see our fees.
You can complain to your landlord, then the Housing Ombudsman, yourself for free.
